So, at least Tip's first book was published by Hyperion when it was owned by Disney. Does that make her appable? Her story is fairly kid-friendly, albeit with a lot of metaphor behind it. Also, in the book there is an expy of Disneyland called Happy Mouse Kingdom. Is it fine if she can recognize some characters as being similar to HMK characters, even if they weren't explicitly referred to in the book? I'd get permission either way, of course.
